To help you prepare and increase your chances of winning, here are some tips:
- Respec Your Character: Head to Rennala at Raya Lucaria to respec your character. Focus on raising your Vigor to around 60. This will give you enough health to survive his hard-hitting attacks without getting taken out in one hit.
- Boost Your HP: Use a Rune Arc with Radahn’s Great Rune to increase your HP. Also, equip the Crimson Amber Medallion +3, found in this expansion, for an additional health boost.
- Increase Your Endurance: Don’t overlook your Endurance stats. High stamina is crucial for blocking attacks with a shield and wearing heavier armor. Aim for a medium equipment load so you’re not too weighed down, but still well-protected.
- Choose the Right Weapon: Radahn is vulnerable to bleed damage, similar to his Starscourge form. Using a weapon like Bloodhound’s Fang can be very effective against him.

How to Defeat Promised Consort Radahn, the Final Boss, in Shadow of the Erdtree?
Promised Consort Radahn in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree has two phases. The first phase is short but still challenging, so don’t get too comfortable.
Unlike his Starscourge form, where he rode a tiny horse, Radahn fights alone at first. He uses massive dual greatswords and powerful purple lightning attacks.
When you enter the boss arena, Radahn often starts by charging up his lightning and then corkscrewing across the room to attack you.
If you time it right, you can dodge this attack. Sometimes, he launches himself into the air, summons electro-charged rocks, and hurls them at you while levitating.
Most of the time, Radahn fights with his dual blades.
He sometimes adds elemental attacks, like swinging a flaming arc that explodes or slamming his blades together to send a groundblast your way.
You can block his regular attacks, such as blade swings, ground slams, and foot stomps, with a shield that has 100% physical block, as long as you have enough stamina.
Bringing a Spirit Ash summon can help distract Radahn, but be quick with your hits. Radahn can quickly defeat your Spirit Ash and then target you.
Radahn is weak to bleed damage and can be staggered. If you keep attacking and manage to inflict bleed damage just before he enters his second phase, you’ll have an advantage.
How to Defeat Radahn, Consort of Miquella in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree?
When Promised Consort Radahn’s health drops to two-thirds, a cutscene plays, and Miquella appears, embracing Radahn from behind with his long golden hair flowing down.
You’re now fighting both of them, though Miquella doesn’t have a separate health bar.
Any bonus bleed damage you inflicted on Radahn before the cutscene still counts.
Miquella’s arrival introduces powerful holy magic. He can summon a pillar of light that can one-shot you if your health is low.
Your best defense is to guard with a shield, but you’ll still take significant damage. After the initial blast, more light will continue to fall, so keep moving to avoid it.
You can also try to get behind Radahn, as the Light of Miquella seems to attack only from the front.
However, the second phase sometimes positions you randomly, making it hard to predict where you’ll start.
In this phase, Radahn’s attacks often include a burst of Miquella’s light, creating a deadly combination.
Even if you dodge the physical attack, the light might still hit you.
Using a Spirit Ash summon can help take the pressure off you, giving you more opportunities to attack.
Without a summon, finding openings will be much harder.
Oddly, if Radahn grabs you, Miquella will speak to you softly and promise “a thousand year voyage guided by compassion“.
You won’t take any damage during this moment, but neither you nor your summon can attack Radahn. It’s a strange respite but a welcome one.
To succeed in this fight, don’t let it drag on. An extended battle won’t favor you. Ensure your Spirit Ash summon lasts as long as possible.
Consistently attack to stagger Radahn and inflict bleed damage if you’re using a bleed weapon. With some luck, you can end this tough fight much quicker than expected.
Promised Consort Radahn rewards in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
When you defeat Radahn (and Miquella), you’ll earn a whopping 500,000 Runes and the Remembrance of a God and a Lord.
You can either use this remembrance to gain more runes or trade it with Finger Reader Enia at the Roundtable Hold for unique boss items.
Explore the area to find additional treasures, including the Circlet of Light and a new emote called ‘Let Us Go Together’.
You can also trigger a cutscene with Miquella to wrap up this part of the story.
